Abandoning Virtue Falls - new blog soon!

I got the University and Open For Business expansion packs for Christmas so I've decided to restart my prosperity challenge (after testing everything out and getting used to all the new things I have at my disposal!) - integrating the latter would have been simple, but the former... not so much, considering the number of Knowledge sims who've passed puberty without a degree. I'll be posting the new blog address when I've got that sorted out. Also, I have acquired a very lovely boyfriend who is letting me mess around on his copy of the Sims 3 and have a blog idea for that too! Stay tuned!

Round Ten - Nakamura 3

The first thing Yuki did when she and her sister moved into their new apartment was call her girlfriend, Zara. Sure, she still had a few feelings for Ruth Knox, but Zara was her real love.


Junko didn't have any such distractions and was much more concerned with how bare the apartment was. Wasn't it supposed to be fully-furnished?! The landlady had... embroidered the truth a little.


Other things they had to get used to included the fact that their neighbours were a little... peculiar. More than one time they ran into James or Jill flirting with people right in front of their horrified daughters!


Junko appreciated the fact she was now a little more free to go clubbing. It was on one such outing she met Alvin Nott, and sparks flew instantly.


They went on a few dates and both became more and more sure of their feelings; they were in love, something neither of them had really expected.


It wasn't long before Alvin was visiting her at home. He wanted to get to know Yuki and Zara. The four of them had quite a few home-cooked meals together.


Things were going so well that Junko was even beginning to talk about moving in with him.

"Isn't that a bit sudden? I mean, you've gone on a few good dates, and he's come around for dinner a few times..."


"I know it might look a bit quick, but... it's the way he kisses me! It's like we were Meant To Be."

Yuki sighed. The sceptic in her was worried, but she didn't know how much of that was jealousy that she was going to lose her twin to some guy.


But she couldn't avoid the inevitable. Junko went to live with Alvin, and as she waved off the taxi Yuki tried to hide how upset she felt. She wasn't sure how to cope with living on her own. Maybe now it was time to bite the bullet and invite Zara to stay a little more permanently...

Round Ten - Straight

Cameron was taking his studies very seriously. In between that and his part-time job at a building site he had no time for romance.


Lisa and Taylor weren't about to let the fact they were old and grey get in the way of their lives. They spent every free minute painting or working on pottery.


Caitlyn also loved arts and crafts, and her creative abilities didn't end there. She was getting pretty good at playing the violin, too!


Douglas, on the other hand, preferred lazing around.


It wasn't long until Douglas and Caitlyn hit their teens. Douglas dragged Cameron out to a café to meet up with their big brother Ewan, but he seemed more interested in talking to Junko Nakamura than to them. It was worrying.


Caitlyn was just glad she was finally old enough to use the pottery wheel.


Note: One of Junko's turn-ons is fat, so thanks to Ewan's sudden weight-gain she's now got two bolts for him?!?! Stay away, Junko, stay away. There is already too much drama there...

Round Ten - Chalmers

Ash was completely entranced with being a father, and hated letting little Josh out of his sight. It was such a shame he had to go to work; he would have loved to be a stay at home dad. Unfortunately, they needed the money.


Jacinta was less impressed. Sure, she loved the little wriggling thing that had lived inside her for nine months, but she hadn't bonded as completely as her husband had.

Josh grew into a toddler, and a difficult one at that. Things would have been okay if Ash had been able to take off more time at work, but life isn't always easy. Jacinta was feeling permanently tired and hungry and couldn't keep up with her toddler son, often falling asleep where she sat.


She was also feeling nauseous on top of everything else, often having to stop in the middle of teaching Josh some skills because she felt too sick.


She ended up spending a lot of time in bed. Then one day she woke up in extreme pain and was rushed to hospital, fearing a burst appendix.


It was there she found out she'd miscarried. She hadn't even known she was pregnant! Suddenly it made sense. She hadn't wanted another child so soon but she was still extremely upset.


She was still very tired and weak, which, when combined with how depressed she was, meant she spent a lot of time in bed and started avoiding Ash and leaving the childcare entirely in his hands.

She also renewed an acquaintance with a girl from their old apartment complex. She was very pretty... it seemed her attraction to girls as well as boys hadn't faded entirely. Jacinta briefly considered having an affair.


Eventually, though, the darkness lifted. She couldn't believe she'd been so reckless! She would never leave Ash. They were good together.

Note: Ash had to go to work because he would get fired otherwise and Jacinta had a day off anyway. Josh picked that day to be especially difficult and Jacinta's needs kept plummeting. Whenever I sent her off to bed, she'd wake up straight away because she needed food. Whenever I sent her to get food, she'd either eat a tiny bit then run off to be sick or, as you saw above, fall asleep in the food :(

Round Ten - Knox 3 / Mazza

Emma wore the dress Shiina had made for her with pride, and got a new haircut to match. She felt every inch the beautiful, sophisticated crime boss - even if she hadn't made it quite that far in her career yet.


Both Emma and Danny loved exercise, and they'd found a new favourite kind...


Unfortunately their bliss couldn't last long. Emma caught colds and promptly passed it on to Danny - the house echoed with their wheezing and coughing.


Danny took a sick day and spent the entirety of it curled up on the sofa, sniffling and occasionally coughing, but by the end of the day he felt a lot better.


The same could not be said of Emma. Her cold seemed to have progressed into something worse - she could barely keep her eyes open and just wanted to stay in bed, and she kept getting nauseous and throwing up. She decided to go to the doctor's in case she had a serious case of flu.


"I've got some news... I went to the doctor, and, well, I don't have flu. I don't even still have a cold."

"That's great, but why the big fuss? And if you're not sick anymore why are you still so sleepy and throwing up all the time?"

"That's the news. I'm pregnant."


Note: This house will eventually become the Mazza house then, I guess, seeing as Danny and Emma don't seem in any particular hurry to tie the knot.

Round Ten - Nakamura 2 / LeTorneau

Life was going well for Shiina, Gabe and Jin. Jin was old enough to use the telephone and spent a surprising amount of time calling his grandparents, aunts and uncle. Shiina was still busy with her sewing - her dreams of designing clothes had finally come true, and she was working on something very special.


Gabe treated Jin as if he were his own. Even though he was busy trying to get his medical qualifications he always made time to play some sports with his very active soon-to-be-stepson.


Shiina's project on the sewing machine was finished, and she called Emma over to visit.

"What's this?"

"Just a little something to say thank you for taking such good care of me over the years... and for not letting me give up on my dreams. It's a dress."

"And you made it?" Emma was thrilled.

"Yep. Hand-stitched by Shiina Nakamura, soon to be LeTorneau. Take good care of it, it can only go up in value!"


The day of the wedding arrived, and Gabe thought Shiina looked better than ever in her formal garb.


Their wedding was quiet but pretty, with all of Shiina's family in attendance. Gabe was an only child and his parents had died a while ago, leaving him with the house, so they, along with Emma and Danny, were the only guests.


The wedding and afterparty were a complete success, with a whole lot of dancing. Shiina loved being able to relax and show off her moves with her little sisters, especially Junko - as the years passed they'd realised they were very similar in personality.


Soon, certain newly-wed activities took their toll on Shiina. She was pregnant.


The bump soon began to show. Gabe was thrilled, although Jin had his own opinions. "You look like a sumo-wrestler!"
